My work focuses on fan art and its stigmatization and perception in traditional art spaces. Most of my works are firmly set within the Warhammer: Fantasy universe, which I use to build personal and unique stories which build from the original media. Fan art to me, is one of the first real examples of an art form by the people and for the people. Its nature as an appropriation of mainstream copyrighted material places itself in opposition to individualistic and capitalistic ownership of fiction. I hope to show that fan art can be just as original as any work of “fine art”.

Oxyotl facing down a Lord of Change. Graphite on paper, 2024. 11”x14”. A scene from the Warhammer: fantasy lore which I felt deserved artistic representation. Oxyotl (A Chameleon Skink hero) narrowly avoiding the magical blast cast from the extended hand of the Lord of Change. Accompanying this work is the sticky note sketches that inspired the design of the magical attack and pushed me to finish this work.
